Silverlake, CA: Review of Casbah Cafe

I am a sucker for truly eclectic spot and the Casbah Cafe is one you will find on Sunset Blvd in Silverlake. The neighborhood is not too far from Hollywood if you don't know the area and the neighborhood has a reputation for being "eclectic."

My friend and I were not looking to get full but simply to get out so he suggested Casbah. I had Cheesecake and tea while he, a vegetarian opted for the tabouli. He raved about the pita filled with tabouli. I am convinced the cheesecake served there is among the better cheesecakes I have had in my lifetime.

Other menu items perfect to have with tea on the menu are finger sandwiches, scones and baklava. There is a goat cheese tart and goat cheese salad.
