This is absolutely a mouth watering foodie film. Food is beautifuly shot. The food and menu design is by reknown chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger. Hector Elinzondo takes the credit on screen as chef and widowed single parent feeding three grown women who still live at home with dad. The storyline is bit corny, in some cases predictable and contrived yet is still manges claim a spot as a chick flick/foodie flick.
The beauty of the food is not too missed. Paul Rodriguez, Raquel Welch, Constance Marie and Elizabeth Peña also star. Beware of dinner table drama...everytime.
This film seeks to also elevate the perception of Mexican cuisine.
