Take your pick at Pappas.  They aim to please from old bay seasoned steamed crabs at their carryout to the sports bar and lounge where stepping on peanut shells is a common occurence to the fine dining restaurant section withdining_room_at_pappas white unprotected table linens .  Wow!  Pappas deserves to be recognized as one of Baltimore's best restaurants.

My review informal and unannounced was simply girl's night out.  I had the opportunity of dining here once before after landing in Baltimore.  I was told by a buddy , "You have to try their crabcake."  In search of somewhere to dine, I told a girlfriend of mine "Let's do Pappas.  You have to try their crabcake."

When dining in the fine dining section, your evening will begin with a fresh cucumbercucumber_relish relish and bread.  The cucumber and celery has the crunch snap of freshness. There are a number of economically priced daily specials.  The prices are quite reasonable.  Specials including two veggies and a drink to compliment your crabcake (or other meat), averages around $20.  A number of items on the menu range from $ 10 to $15 as well.

crab_imperialI could not take my eyes off the neighboring table's order of crab imperial.  Unfortunately, I did not get to try the divine looking dish which I trust is delectable. Afterall the crabcake is meaty no filler seasoned with a subtle touch.  The crab bisque has a pink color, ever-present with pieces of crab meat.

Although there are a plethora of desserts on the menu, the only dessert made on the premises is the rice pudding.  It is pleasing to the eye and tongue, a decadent adult dessert topped with whip cream and cinnamon.

Check out their website because Maryland crabs can be  shipped to you! Now I call that a happy ending
